Between Samuel Beals and Sarah Beals his wife heirs at law of George Beals late deceased of the Township of Elk, Sanilac Co., Michigan.  And William H. Beals of the same Town, County and State.
For and in consideration of One Hundred Dollars.
All that certain piece or parcel of land, situate and being in the Township of Elk, County of Sanilac and State of Michigan. And described as follows, to wit: The North Half of the southwest quarter of the northwest quarter and the northwest quarter of section (32) thirty two in Township ten (10) North of range (14) fourteen East Containing sixty Acres of land more or less and subject to two mortgages the first being given by George Beals to John L Woods of Lexington and the second being given by the said George Beals to Moss, Mills and Gaige [known as land and lumber barons] of Davisville, Mich.  Both mortgages amounting to about the sum of Four Hundred dollars exclusive of interest... That they are free except the mortgages referred to.
