From the book, An Old Fashioned, But New Scrapbook of Lawrencetown and The Annapolis Valley, David and Paulette Whitman, Bailey Chase Books, 2009: The Beals Family lived here for over 100 years, and the Bishop Family for 50 years. Notes |
- Isaac and Catherine were first cousins. They were married by Rev. Stephen Bamford. Spurr notes say they were married Dec 25, 1820.
Isaac obtained his land by way of his father's will and no doubt had occupied it for a number of years. It was described in the will as "the eastern side of my farm". Isaac and Catherine had five children, three sons and two daughters. One son, Nehemiah, lived in Nictaux and the other two, John Strong and Isaac, were farmers in Inglisville.
