| Stephen Beals' Home in NS Built about 1814, it fell down about 1920. There were two fireplaces, an oven and nine rooms. Two families were born in this home, the nine children of Stephen & Nancy, and the eight children of John & Lucy (their youngest daughter). |

Notes |
- He worked on the family farm and then in ship building at Bear River, Annapolis co., N.S. About 1845 the family moved to Erin, Wellington Co., Ontario where he was a bailiff for the newly formed district. He was living in Grand Valley in 1953. In 1867 he, his brother Isaac and their families moved to Peck, Michigan (about 75 miles northwest of Sarnia, Ont.) where land was becoming available to settlers.
