In the interest of providing useful information to those seeking their ancestry,
our web pages allow every person in our database to be searched and their name displayed.
However, to respect the privacy of living individuals*,
our web pages will not display personal data about living individuals,
that is, birth dates/places, marriage dates/places,
photographs or other documents we may have about them (for example, newspaper clippings).
The “Log in” feature on our site exists for the author’s use in viewing and maintaining the database.
We do not provide Logins to the visiting public.
* Footnote: Whether or not a person is “living” is determined by the TNG software using three simple rules:
- If there is no birth or death information for an individual, then they are presumed to be living – this default
takes the conservative approach of protecting personal data if there’s no information to say a person is deceased.
- If there is a date or place of death, then the person is considered deceased.
- If there is no death information but there is a birth date and they were born more than 110 years ago,
then the person is presumed to be deceased.
